Please join us at Arizona Motorsports Park for the first Driver Education event of the 2020/2021 season. For this event, we will run the track counter-clockwise.  Plan on a full day of fun- gates open at 6:30 AM with the first car out on track at 8:30 AM.  Five 20-minute sessions for each run group will be scheduled.

Special Rules for Novices and Non-Solo Approved Drivers:

Due to COVID regulations, we will only be offering lead / follow instruction for solo approved drivers.  If you have not been approved to drive solo yet, we are prequalifying drivers at our AZ PCA Autocrosses held at AMP.  You will need to attend an AZ-PCA AutoX event and get approved by an instructor there for solo driving at our HPDE events.  Keep in mind that attending the AutoX event does not guarantee approval into the non-solo group at an HPDE- adequate car control and ability to drive at speed must be exhibited.  This will be the case for all novice and non-solo approved drivers until we are able to offer in-car instruction again at our HPDE events.   If you "graduate" into our beginner solo group in this fashion, you will be assigned and required to have an instructor via lead/follow instruction.

Our first AutoX event will be held on September 26.  If you attend this event and meet our instructors' criteria, you will be allowed to drive in our entry-level solo group at this Oct 3 HPDE.   Our September 26 AutoX event can be found here: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/autocross-sept-az-pca-amp-arizona-motorsports-park-515064  Please reach out to Kim Kemper, the organizer of the AutoX event, after registering and let him know you need to be evaluated for solo approval for our HPDE events.

A speed and experience level for everyone: There will be several different "run groups" which will be separated by experience/skill level: Novice, Intermediate, Experienced and Advanced.  There is a run group for everyone- so don't hesitate to sign up if you have little to no experience on track.

To ensure everyone registered has a good time at the track, the amount of cars in each run group is limited.  Sign up early to avoid being waitlisted!

Track Tours (new):  If you are not quite ready for the full track day experience, there is a special session called "Track Tour", where you can drive your own car on the track at a more comfortable speed, akin to "parade laps".  There will be instructors driving their own cars that will guide you around the track- all you have to do is follow them.  Passengers are allowed only for this specific "Track Tour" session.

Instructors are free!  If this will be your first time attending a track day with AZ PCA or if you have not yet been approved to drive solo, you will be provided an instructor to ride along with you as well as classroom instruction to make the most of your day.  Even if it is not your first time or if you have never driven at Arizona Motorsports Park before, AZ PCA can accommodate (and encourages) an instructor ride-along to hone your driving skills. This will be the case for all novice and non-solo approved drivers until we are able to offer in-car instruction again at our HPDE events.

Wanna just hang out and lend a hand? We are always looking for folks to help us run these events.  If you'd like to volunteer to help us, we'd love that!  There is a registration option for volunteering and you can pick from several different roles of participation.

Registration fees:

  •  $165.00 full track day
  •  $25.00 Track Tour only
Not a PCA member yet?  Don't own a Porsche? That's okay- non PCA members are still welcome to participate or volunteer!

If you are a Porsche owner but do not yet have a PCA membership, you can sign up today at https://www.pca.org/membership  Annual membership is $46 and comes with other benefits, however, PCA membership is NOT a requirement to attend this event.
