The weather will be Porsche perfect for driving your Porsche or other SUV Four-Wheel Drive Vehicle on an off-road Tour up to Crown King high in the Bradshaw Mountains for a delicious lunch at the famous Crown King Saloon. Crown King was a former gold mining town dating back to 1875 and has a current population of 133.
The saloon has an interesting history and is one of the buildings still standing and in use in Crown King. The Crown King Saloon has maintained its place as the center of activity in town. The Saloon was originally constructed and operated in the nearby mining town of Oro Belle (now also a ghost town). In 1910, it was disassembled and brought to Crown King piece by piece after the mine at Oro Belle had played out. The building was home to a brothel and bar in both towns and now serves the public as a hotel, cafe, and bar.
The Tour is a 53 mile and a two-hour drive on an easy and safe all-weather category 1 off-road dirt trail. The Tour will traverse through the rugged beauty of the Bradshaw Mountains and route through the small communities of Bumble Bee and Cleater. Cleater is the home port for the Cleator Yacht Club. Yes, there is a yacht docked outside adjacent to the Bar & General Store.
OFF-ROAD TOUR REQUIREMENTS
- ALL DRIVERS MUST REGISTER AND REGISTER THEIR PASSENGER(S) AS GUEST REGISTRANTS
- ALL DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS MUST ATTEND THE DRIVERS’ SAFETY BRIEFING
- ANY 4-WHEEL DRIVE OFF-ROAD SPECIAL UTILITY VEHICLE IS ALLOWED (No Utility Terrain Vehicle a.k.a Side by Side)
- ALL DRIVERS MUST BE AN ADULT (OVER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS) POSSESS A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND BE AN ACTIVE PCA MEMBER OF ANY REGION. MINORS OR DRIVERS POSSESSING AN INSTRUCTIONAL DRIVER’S (LEARNER’S) PERMIT ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE
- ALL ADULTS MUST SIGN THE WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM (provided at Staging on event day)
- MINOR (Under the age of 18 Years) PASSENGERS ARE ALLOWED
- PARENT(S) of MINOR(S) MUST PROVIDE A COMPLETED/SIGNED PCA MINOR WAIVER FORM FOR EACH MINOR CHILDREN (provided at Staging on event day)

TWO-WAY RADIO COMMUNICATIONS
Pursuant to the PCA Region Procedures Manual (RPM) the Tour Coordinators will be using two-way radio communication for Trail Safety and to relay other pertinent information. Tour participants are welcome to have radio communication to monitor and/or directly communicate with the coordinators or other Tour participants. It is not mandatory for participants to have two-way radio communication on the Tour.

Everyone is on their own for lunch and responsible for their own check. We will be ordering from the menu.
Dress accordingly. The weather may be cool for higher elevation. The elevation for Crown King is approximately 5,800 feet above mean sea level.
